Machine Doll
songwriter - producer | Los Angeles, CA
From the intensity of their songs to the quality of their storytelling, it’s clear that Machine Doll utilizes the power of songwriting as a form of release. Debuting in 2021 with a self-empowering track over classic 90s hip hop production, they stepped onto the scene with "Queen Bee," which gave a provocative look into what to expect in future releases. Led by the punk-influenced single Portofino, the forthcoming untitled EP represents years of songwriting progress and personal growth.
The multidisciplinary artist was born in Ibadan, Nigeria, migrating to the United States with their family at the age of six. Singing at their father's church served as their primary musical inspiration during their formative years. However, it was the artists they were exposed to later - Nicki Minaj, Bbymutha, Asian Doll, The Neighbourhood, Phoenix - that inspired them to move to Los Angeles and fully pursue a career in the arts.
Moving through the LA underground, Machine has continued establishing themself as a creative force to be reckoned with. Studying music business while developing their current sound, Machine’s impact goes beyond the music. With experience as a graphic designer and makeup artist, they have driven their own aesthetic and creative approach to forward-think art.
